Dr. Fatima Lizeth Gandarilla-Pacheco

Chemical Bacteriologist Parasitologist (2007) and Doctor of Sciences with specialization in Biotechnology (2013) by the Faculty of Biological Sciences, UANL with thesis focused on the control of pests of agricultural importance. Posdoctoral by the National Polytechnic Institute with the project "Evaluation of the impact of a biocontrol strategy of insect vectors of dengue through the use of Metarhizium anisopliae to reduce their populations at field level and viral transmission in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico". So far I have nine articles published in refereed journals and indexed in the JCR. I have participated as a co-Director of six undergraduate theses, as well as the publication of 23 extensive reports in national conferences and 2 in international congresses, 7 abstracts in international conferences and 1 in national congresses, participation as assistant to 13 courses related to the area in which I work and as a speaker in 15 congresses. Currently my lines of research are related to the control of Aedes aegypti through the use of entomopathogenic fungi. I am also working on the production of spores of various species of Trichoderma for the control of phytopathogenic fungi, as well as the use of essential oils for the same purpose.
